Johnnetta McSwain is becoming one of the most sought after motivational speakers and empowerment coaches locally, nationally, and international.
 Mrs. McSwain, succeeded in achieving her GED, Bachelor of Science (BS) in Communication at Kennesaw State University (KSU), 2006 and Master of Social Work at CAU, 2008 and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. She uses her extremely abusive past and her copyrighted 12-Step Self Awareness Model (SAM) to help empower women on becoming self ware of their negative cycles that cripple their ability to reach for their fullest potential in life.
She is the main character in a major documentary, “The Road Beyond Abuse”, narrated by Jane Fonda. The documentary depicts the brutal mental, physical and sexual abuse she endured as a child and how she beat the odds. The documentary debuted April 15, 2009 on Georgia Public Broadcasting (GPB).
She is the author of her first book, “Rising Above the Scars”, A book that tells the true story of one child’s nightmare and one woman’s awakening. Some proceeds from the book will be donated to the Johnnetta McSwain Endowment Fund at Kennesaw State University (KSU). Anticipated date for release is Fall, 2010.
